ARS WorkAbility’s Clothing Drive Initiative

ARS WorkAbility has officially launched our clothing drive initiative for Pride month! This drive
will serve low to no income individuals who are in need of business casual and “blue-collar”
clothing to look and feel their best. We will be collecting gender-affirming and size-inclusive
clothing all of June that will serve as a “closet” for our community. We are looking for gently-
used and laundered office clothing (slacks, button-downs, and blazers), tradesmen clothing
(PPE, reflective vests, steel-toed boots), and medical wear (scrubs, non-slip shoes). There will
be a box in front of our office for people looking to drop off and donate their clothing. If you are
requesting a special pick up, please contact Pia (piav@asianrehab.org).

Those attending our future workshops will have the opportunity to browse our closet at our office
and take home whatever pieces of their choosing. Our workshops will begin happening on a
semi-regular basis in the San Gabriel Valley spaces and at our Pasadena office starting this
summer. Attendees can set up an appointment with our Project Manager to come in and shop
around. We understand that dressing for the role gets you half way there which is why we have
decided to make our closet completely free for our community. We are so excited to begin this
initiative with our community! Follow us on Instagram at ARS WorkAbility for more information
and contact piav@asianrehab.org for any questions.
